INTRODUCTION
The winner from each category will be selected to submit to THE Awards Asia - a major international platform that provide a moment to pause, reflect and celebrate the continent's higher education excellence in its diversity
CATEGORIES
This award recognises the pioneering work that is taking place in universities to promote the arts. It is open to individuals, teams or departments.
- Describe the background to and context of your entry. Does the entry represent a new effort to establish your university’s reputation in the arts, or does it further an already strong position in the field?
- Explain the nature of your excellence or innovation. Have you launched new initiatives? Have you set up new courses?
- Describe the impact of your work. Provide evidence of demonstrable progress or success.
- Is there a collaborative or interdisciplinary element to your work? If so, please tell us about it.
Please note that this category addresses promotion of the arts or an artistic project, rather than the excellence of an artistic project in itself.
ENTRY GUIDELINES
- Entries must be submitted in English.
- These awards focus primarily on activity during the 2020 calendar year. The judges will pay special attention to initiatives completed during 2020, but submissions may be based on those that commenced prior to this period, where proof of impact during 2020 can be included.
- The final deadline is 23:59 (GMT) on 14 February 2021.
- All entries must be submitted online. If you do experience problems, please email ranking@uitm.edu.my.
- The judges will be looking for a good story, well told, and backed up with solid metrics where applicable.
- Submissions must consist of up to 500 words of text specifically addressing the key criteria set out for the relevant category. You may also attach up to two sets of materials which should support or expand on aspects of your 500-word text. Supporting documentation should be no more than four sides of A4 in total (entries may be printed out during shortlisting and final judging). Please see below for more details on the supporting material requirements.
- If you wish to submit tables or graphics, they must be included within your supporting materials rather than as part of the submission text.
- You may enter as many categories as you wish, but no single submission can be entered in more than one category. If you are unsure which is the best category for your entry, please contact ranking@uitm.edu.my.
- You may enter a project that has been undertaken in collaboration with an external public or private partner.
- Up to three sets of supporting documents may be submitted, but in total they should comprise no more than four sides of A4. PowerPoint and video files will not be accepted; however, you may submit screenshots.
- Supporting materials may include photographs, tables, graphs, documents containing statistics, testimonials, supporting research, evaluation or inspection reports, promotional materials and media coverage (PowerPoint and video files will not be accepted; however, you may submit screenshots).
