Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) became the venue of a star-studded event last weekend, when it hosted a charity concert, named Konsert Destini.
The concert, which was held on 20 and 21 December 2013, featured popular Malaysian singer, namely, Awie, Amy Search, Hafiz AF, Jaclyn Victor, Adira and Dayang Nurfaizah. There were also special appearances by Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza and Indonesian singer, Dato’ Rossa.
At the opening of the two-night concert, UiTM Pro-Chancellor, YBhg Tan Sri Arshad Ayub, launched theTabung Pendidikan Anak Bangsa.
Also present were UiTM Vice-Chancellor, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Prof Ir Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar and Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Destini Anak Bangsa (YDAB), YBhg Dato’ Mohd Aizuddin Mohd Ghazali.
Konsert Destini was founded and organized by YDAB in collaboration with the Faculty of Film, Theatre and Animation.
Proceeds from ticket sales worth RM2.1million would be channeled into the Tabung Pendidikan Anak Bangsa.
