UiTM turns a decade and a year today, 26th August 2010

We are eleven today. On this date, the Twenty-Sixth of August Nineteen Ninety-Nine, we were bestowed the recognition we so deserved when the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad declared us a university. Indeed it was a testament of our resolute and commitment to make possible our elevation from an institute to an ivory tower in every sense of the word. And, thus those among us who were part of that gathering in Stadium Malawati Shah Alam became part of UiTM’s history.


Today, the glory is ours, the fraternity of UiTM – whatever our creed or colour, wherever we are, whichever campus we serve. So let us celebrate our coming of age, and be counted among those who have made a difference to what we are today – a university which strives to be at par with the best within and beyond the shores of this blessed land we call home.
