UiTM Perak became the first among the State Campuses to be given the opportunity to use the UiTM eProgramme Management Office (UePMO) as part of their strategic planning monitoring process.  The UePMO was first developed to monitor the Vice Chancellor Special Projects (VCSPs) which involved only the faculties and departments in Shah Alam.  The introduction of UePMO in UiTM Perak is a landmark event as it marks the moment where the system is applied for strategic planning initiatives monitoring in a comprehensive manner.

A briefing on the system and a workshop on how to use the system was conducted at UiTM Perak on 20th March 2012 by the Centre for Strategic Planning.  UiTM Perak has introduced 13 initiatives to be monitored using the UePMO.  The usage will be widened to other UiTM autonomous state campuses followed by other campuses.  It is hoped that with proper monitoring of these strategic planning initiatives it will help UiTM achieve its aspiration of becoming a top-notch university.
