Launching of Kuala Pilah Campus
For over a decade, UiTM Negeri Sembilan has been operating on a land leased by the Kuala Pilah District Department of Agriculture, offering pre-diploma in science and accountancy. But Thursday 25th March 2010 will forever be marked in UiTM's diary as another historical date. On this day the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Dato' Muhyiddin Yassin has officially launched the campus, which now has its own domain, standing proudly on a 400 acre land.
Located far away from the city chaos, it resides about 10km from the town of Kuala Pilah and estimatedly half an hour away from the city of Seremban. Furnished with modern equipment, the newest member of the UiTM community has opened its door to 288 dedicated staff and almost 2000 applied science students from pre-science, diploma and bachelor's degree levels. In addition, the Diploma in Business Management programme is expected to commence in this July.
The Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Dato' Seri Utama Hj. Mohamad Hassan, Higher Education Minister, Dato' Seri Khaled Nordin, Vice-Chancellor Dato' Prof. Ir. Dr. Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar and the rest of UiTM Senior Management team also graced this inauguration.
